Ensuring that our youth have regular access to healthy food is a priority for YAK.
We run nightly dinners Monday to Thursday between 4 pm and 5 pm; we also have healthy snacks on hand. Thanks to Maximilian’s Restaurant in Perth, A & W, Mex & Co. and Starbucks Perth who have graciously agreed to cater on different nights throughout the month!
Our Free Food Pantry will no longer have items from The Table Community Food Centre; due to funding constraints and the rising costs of food it is no longer able to provide non- perishable food items in the Kiosk.
We currently pick up premade sandwiches and bagels from Starbucks and will stock the refrigerator with those items only for now.
If you are in need of nonperishable items please head to the Table at 190 Gore St. E. or call 613 267 6428 ext 102 to place an order.
YAK is part of the Second Harvest National Food Program. We redistribute food from local restaurants.
The Sports Day Camp program is for children 6-10 years of age.
It’s important for kids to stay active, engaged, and socially connected during their time off school. Over March Break and the Summer Holiday, YAK Youth Services offers subsidized Day Camp programs specifically designed for children between the ages of 6-10. Our specially curated programming includes an exciting variety of sports, games, and other recreational activities to keep young bodies and minds active. YAK Summer and March Day Camp run weekdays from 9am-3pm.
Our camps are Sports Day Camps that focus on a different sport throughout the weeks. We will be on the 1881 Rogers Rd. grounds for most days; however, we do go to Conlon Farm for some of our activities during the week.
